Elaine Evans: Much of Elaine’s experience has been in the SME sector, which fosters an ability to adapt rapidly to changes in the commercial and regulatory environment. Elaine’s career started in research (INSERM in France, the NIH and Stanford University, USA). Elaine then spent 15 years in Rx pharmaceuticals (Boehringer Ingelheim, Solvay), principally in marketing and business development, but also gaining hands-on experience in sales, market research and regulatory affairs. A switch to medical devices followed, firstly as Marketing Manager (EMEA) for Cochlear, an Australian Med Tech company, then at Sinclair Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a UK SME which pioneered borderline medical devices across the globe. Elaine initially managed Sinclair’s distributors, then as Corporate Development Manager she helped build Sinclair’s commercial operations via corporate acquisition and product licensing, later becoming UK Operations Director. Elaine was UK representative on the Board of Europharm SMC from 2007-2009, and is currently a committee member in the UK Pharmaceutical Licensing Group. Elaine founded InterPharm Investments Ltd in 2009. She has a PhD in pharmacology, an MBA (Henley Management College) and a CIM Diploma in Marketing. Elaine is British.
